Open American Smooth Manhattan 2016

The Open American Smooth at the Manhattan Dancesport Championships delivered all that it was supposed to.  With the absence of the Perzhu’s from the field this year, it could’ve been a very interesting year for this style.  However, it hasn’t turned out that way. But with the excitement of both American Styles being danced at the Open British next year I hope that the dancers can push through the politics and challenge each other to bring the best and most innovative dancing to Blackpool.

Yankee Classic Kicks off Star International Latin Tour

The Yankee Classic was the first official stop on this year’s Star International Latin Tour where the finalist couples are required to perform a solo routine of their choice and this was certainly a headline event this weekend.

Ballroom Dancing for You

I am a ballroom dancer. When I am outside my home and need to kill some time alone, I usually find a rather quiet place and practice my steps. Otherwise, I forget my precious few steps. I am not really that good. I may be an average among all dancers in our local dance club with over 100 members, which is not bad.
